I don't know how we timed it, but with luck, Harley announced that book three, titled Dark Pursuit, is set to be released June 30th, which is perfect timing because I am already desperate for this conclusion. And honestly, like when we started recording this, we didn't know when she was going to be doing it. So the fact that it happened in the last week is like, woo-hoo! We have some kind of magic. Forbidden Romance with Richie Rich Kane Ravencourt, aka Mr. Is that a gun in your pocket? Or are you just happy to see me? And it's me, Jessica. The sad girl from the wrong side of town. Uh Jessica breaks into Kane's founding family's home to seal some knick-knack paddywhack trinkets so that she can afford the care of her dying mother. Kane catches her, she pulls a gun on him, and Kane blows his mind. Get your head out of the gutter. Kane has never been degraded like that before, so he is in love. They dance around it for a bit, but they think they might give this little romance a try. They race some cars, we have some laughs, really up until the final chapter, when we find out the truth about Kane and his twin brother Casha's childhood and their current life situation under Daddy's thumb. And that is where book two starts.

They convinced Jessica to come to a party at the cliffs. Um fun, but terrifying. The cliffs are the cliffs? Drunk kids at the cliffs. What could go wrong? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Uh Jessica, being kind of the low-key ho that she is, sits on her brother's friend's lap, Jackson, which I don't know, there always seems to be something with this Jackson dude. He snaps a pic of them together, shares it on his IG, he gives her his hoodie to wear. Like, girl, you gonna get in trouble. Yeah, honestly, she is so toxic, but kind of here for it. Well, it helps with this like push and pull, will they, won't they? Kind of romance, right? That's true. Um, then this idiot starts chatting up some other guy, Amari. He wants to race, and he tells her how her brother is looking for some help with the shipments.

And after realizing Kane isn't into her swamp donkey ass, she basically tells him, There's nothing you could do. I am powerful. I will fuck up your life.

Um, she brings up the like drug illegal shit that he's been doing, the shipments, that whole little chestnut, and they fight, and she's like, you know, I might have bigger problems than my little fling with Cade. Like, you know what? Or sorry, not Cade, Kane. Yes, uh, I'm not gonna see him anymore.

We were blinded by the 6-4, okay? We were blinded. Second time it was like, okay, that was so frickin' obvious. I don't know what the fuck, cliffhanger plot, whatever the fuck you want to call this. This one ruined my fucking life. Like, I I don't know why I felt this one so emotionally.
